Life is Good! How many times have you heard or seen that phrase written? Hearing someone say "Life Is Good" always makes me smile. Reminds me of a dear friend who said it long before it became a multi-million dollar company based on this one simple expression. He'd smile his warm smile and say, "Life is Good." He's been dead for about four years; yet his spirit continues to live in my heart. It is that way when people have profoundly touched you; they live on long after they have gone.

Going for a walk one day this past fall, I decided to walk down streets I rarely take. That's when I saw this lake house property with a big "For Sale" sign in the front yard. I grabbed a flyer and that night mentioned my discovery to my husband. We went to check it out and now have a new home. No, we weren't looking for a new house. It was on the market for a while and I believe it was waiting for us. It is on an environmental lake, great for kayaking, canoeing, not good for swimming. My goal for this summer is to purchase a kayak and build some upper body strength while paddling the lake. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Paddling is one way to travel. I love traveling, period. I get excited at the idea of experiencing new places and meeting new people. This year Jim (my husband) and I went to Italy and he was able to see his grandfather's childhood home. It was a good time. Other travel adventures scheduled for this coming year are Sedona, Denver, and Northern Minnesota, where I'll be doing author events.

Sara, my cocker spaniel is learning how to travel with me. She has adjusted well to our new home. While walking the other day, a woman we passed commented on what a happy dog she is. It made me smile. I remember when I adopted Sara and saw she had no glow in her eyes and was afraid of everything. Love can do wondrous things. We are both happy.

I've been actively marketing this year and I'm excited to say Tree Spirited Woman is now in a number of gift shops as well as bookstores. I have you my readers, my friends, to thank for this. Keep the e-mails coming, I love hearing from you.
